Point at What Matters to You
When something moves you, point at it.
When something bugs you, point at it.
When something excites you, point at it.
When something makes you laugh, point at it.
Remember when we were small and words failed us, but our fingers never did?
Before we knew how to explain ourselves, we knew how to point.
At the biscuit on the table.
At the dog in the park.
At the child we wanted to play with.
Something would appear in our world, spark a little fire inside us, and, without hesitation, we’d point and move towards it.
We trusted that feeling.
Then we grew up.
And somewhere along the way, we were told to stop pointing.
We learned to become tidy. Predictable. Sensible.
And slowly, almost without noticing, we stopped following the spark.
When something really annoys you, listen to it.
This is your chance to make that better.
When you are not heard, listen closely to that feeling.
When you leave a conversation feeling smaller than when you entered it, pay attention.
Your spirit is asking for a different kind of room.
When something fills you with energy, notice that too.
Life is showing you where it wants to meet you.
These moments are easy to miss.
They are often small. Quiet. Almost forgettable.
But they are never insignificant.
When they come, point at them.
Write them down. Call them out.
They are invitations.
Invitations back to yourself. Back to wonder.
Back to the part of you that once knew exactly how to move towards what felt alive.
We don’t experience life as it is.
We experience the life we notice. The life we point towards.
So if something stirs you, point at it.
If something delights you, point at it.
If something unsettles you, point at it.
If something makes you feel more like yourself, point at it.
Again and again and again.
That’s how you find your way back.
Have a great week ahead.
Kia kaha & love,
Chris xx
